Mint Oreo Truffles

Ingredients

Our family is a big fan of all things mint and Oreos. When MINT Oreos come home, they hardly last a day.

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, we brainstormed a fun way to use these delightful Mint Oreos.

These truffles are not only simple to prepare but also incredibly tasty and hard to resist.

Here’s what you’ll need!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15.25 oz) package of Mint Crème Oreos
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: Sprinkles and green candy melts

In Process 1

Instructions:

Begin by processing the Oreos (including the filling) in a food processor or blender until they turn into crumbs.

In Process 2

Next, use a hand-held or stand mixer with a paddle attachment to combine the Oreo crumbs with the cream cheese until fully integrated. The resulting mixture will be thick and sticky.

In Process 3

Shape the mixture into balls, rolling between 30 to 35. Place these balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Freeze them for at least 30 minutes, as the chocolate won’t adhere properly unless the truffles are cold and firm.

Melt the chocolate according to the instructions on the package. Working one truffle at a time, fully coat each ball in chocolate. To do this, drop a truffle in the chocolate, swirl with a fork, and lift using the fork’s prongs. Tap the fork against the bowl’s edge to let any excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the lined baking sheet. *If you’re using green candy melts, coat the truffle and sprinkle immediately before it dries, and feel free to drizzle extra on top of the chocolate-coated truffles.

Place the truffles in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. These truffles should always be kept chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days.
