With the school season underway in Missouri, it’s time to revive those lunch boxes and unleash your culinary creativity.

My child has a great appreciation for Uncrustables sandwiches, and he even enjoys them while still partially frozen. While it’s reassuring to know he will consume what I pack for him, I’d rather save some cash and have a say in the ingredients used.

That’s when I discovered the Sandwich Sealer and Decruster on Amazon—an idea that struck me like a lightbulb!

To start, choose bread that is sufficiently large so that you can trim without hitting the crust.
You will need two slices of bread per sandwich.
Spread peanut butter generously on both slices, ensuring you remain in the center to avoid the areas meant for cutting and sealing.
On one slice, add jelly in the center.

While I failed to capture this step in a photograph, it’s straightforward. Simply place the slice with only peanut butter on top of the one with peanut butter and jelly (peanut butter side faces down).
Align the cutter over the sandwich, applying firm pressure to ensure the crust is entirely removed.
While keeping the cutter in place, remove the crust.
To seal, press down decisively on the blue center piece.
Lift the cutter away and tuck the sandwich into a sandwich bag and place it in the freezer.

And just like that, you have your homemade PB&J crustless pocket sandwiches ready to go. Feel free to get creative beyond PB&J—consider options like ham and cheese, peanut butter with banana, or peanut butter and honey!
