Motherhood.

In my pre-motherhood fantasies, my mind was filled with visions of perfect babies, tiny fingers and toes, soft little heads, and that delightful fragrance of a freshly bathed baby.

Fast forward twenty-two years and five pregnancies, and I have come to realize that being a mother entails much more than just welcoming a lovely baby into the world.

Here are five key truths about motherhood that took me by surprise:

  1. Your body takes on a new identity. While my weight remains unchanged, my body has undergone significant shifts and adjustments.
  2. Keep tissues handy! A simple sneeze might lead to more than just a runny nose; expect to make a quick dash to the restroom.
  3. Your breasts belong to your baby. Be prepared for your little one to reach for them at the most unexpected moments, even in the middle of a chat with your pastor (at least in those first couple of years).
  4. Prepare for larger footwear. Each pregnancy has seen my feet increase by at least one size.
  5. Choosing movies becomes a careful consideration. Avoid comedies, as laughter can lead to light bladder leakage.

Indeed, LBL (light bladder leakage) is a common issue among mothers, many of whom have quietly managed it until now.

Then I discovered Poise® Microliners.

Fortunately, enjoying a night of laughter no longer means needing to wear bulky feminine hygiene products or staying close to home.

Every woman seeks the best protection that meets her unique needs—especially regarding LBL.

Now there’s a viable solution.

Poise® Microliners are remarkably thin and designed for LBL, featuring super absorbent materials within a lightweight pad. They allow you to go through your day comfortably without feeling burdened; honestly, I forget I’m wearing them.

At last, this unexpected aspect of motherhood can be dealt with in a comfortable and non-embarrassing way.

Do you experience LBL? What triggers it for you? Have you tried Poise?

Absolutely relatable! LOL! While bladder leakage isn’t a laughing matter, I’m grateful there are products to manage it now. My mom faced years of embarrassing moments because of it. She would definitely leak if she laughed too hard.

These little insights are fantastic! After having three kids, I consider myself fortunate to rarely deal with LBL, though it does occur when I jump during workouts.
