Easy Christmas Candy Cane Fudge

Candy canes are synonymous with the Christmas season, gracing our trees year after year. Traditionally, they end up discarded the day following Christmas. However, this year is different. We’re embracing the day after Christmas as National Candy Cane Day and, to celebrate, we’re preparing a scrumptious Candy Cane Fudge!

This fudge can be prepared in just under five minutes and is perfect for utilizing those leftover candy canes!

Candy Cane Fudge

Ingredients
  • Five Minute Candy Cane Fudge
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ⅔ cup of evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 crushed candy canes

Instructions
  1. Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter, and evaporated milk, then bring to a boil.
  3. Boil for 3-4 minutes while stirring constantly.
  4. Take off the heat.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla extract, combining thoroughly.
  6. Pour the mixture into the baking pan.
  7. Top with crushed candy canes, gently pressing them down.
  8. Chill until firm.
  9. Cut into squares.
