Cadbury Chocolate Easter Chicks

Today, my kids and I decided to have some fun with one of my all-time favorite Easter treats: Cadbury cream eggs. After melting some leftover chocolate from another endeavor, we were inspired to create something new.

Within moments, we were laughing and crafting, and these adorable little chicks came to life.

Here’s what we utilized:

* Cadbury Cream Eggs (Carmel eggs can be used as well; any similar-sized chocolate egg will work)

* Orange Wilton melting chocolate

* White Wilton melting chocolate

* Brown Wilton melting chocolate

* Black icing or frosting (choose any color for the eyes)

* Wax paper

Begin by melting a few pieces of the brown chocolate to serve as your adhesive.

On a piece of wax paper, create a small mound of brown chocolate on two orange circles, ensuring there’s enough to support the egg on top. I used a small object to keep the egg elevated while it hardened, which didn’t take long at all.

The rest is a matter of creativity, all while using the melted brown chocolate as your adhesive. Once everything has set, it easily peels off the wax paper.
