Strawberry Carrots

To add a playful touch to our Easter brunch, we enjoy creating themed treats. These delightful chocolate-dipped strawberries resemble carrots and are a fun way to sneak in some fruit for the kids before they dive into their Easter baskets. They’re perfect for sharing at any potluck as well.

INGREDIENTS
1 lb Strawberries
8 oz Orange Candy Melting Chips
Orange Sparkling Sugar (optional)

Preparation of Strawberry Carrots

DIRECTIONS
Gently adjust the strawberry stems upwards.
Chill the strawberries in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
Melt the candy chips in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring in between until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
Prepare a sheet of wax or parchment paper that can accommodate all the strawberries.
Using a spoon, apply melting chocolate around the top of the strawberries near the stem.
Either dip the strawberry or use a spoon to coat each berry in chocolate while holding it by the stem.
If desired, sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
Arrange the strawberries on the prepared paper.
Returning them to the freezer will allow the chocolate to harden quickly.
