DIY Craft | Scrabble-Inspired Family Tree
For our 25th wedding anniversary, my eldest daughter surprised us with a beautiful family tree wall art piece. I was truly delighted with it and wanted to share this idea to inspire you in crafting a thoughtful (and relatively easy) gift for someone special in your life!

To recreate this project, gather the following materials:
- Scrabble tiles for the names or words you wish to include
- Two contrasting sheets of scrapbook paper
- Scissors or a craft knife to cut out the heart shape
- Adhesive suitable for the letters
- A shallow shadow box frame
She arranged the Scrabble tiles until she achieved a layout she found appealing and then decided on where to place the heart.
At this point, you can either follow her method by cutting out the heart with contrasting paper beneath it, or you can opt for a “floating” heart by cutting a heart shape from the different paper and reinforcing it with a sturdier material. Use double-sided adhesive pads to achieve the floating effect.
Finally, frame it in the shallow shadow box, and you will have a meaningful keepsake that will be treasured for many years!
