I’m always searching for engaging activities to enjoy with my kids, especially ones that don’t involve screens. This past weekend’s heat made outdoor play unappealing, so I seized the opportunity to introduce Play-Doh into our day.
Working with Play-Doh is a joy that I cherish with my children. I have fond memories of crafting and creating imaginative figures for hours during my own childhood. With World Play-Doh Day approaching on September 16th, we decided to start crafting our entries for the Facebook “parade.”
Celebrated globally, World Play-Doh Day honors the beloved modeling compound that ignites creativity in children and artists of all ages.
As part of the celebration, Play-Doh enthusiasts can sculpt representation of their favored landmarks, cultural symbols, favorite foods, or flags for the #WorldPlayDohDay Facebook event “parade.”
World Play-Doh Day encourages everyone to unleash their creativity by squishing, molding, and sculpting. I was truly impressed by the focus my children displayed during our fun session!
Their imaginative play was unending; not only did they develop their previous creations, but they also advanced to crafting even larger and more intricate designs.
I feel fortunate to have reconnected with the joy of Play-Doh alongside my kids while participating in the festivities for World Play-Doh Day!
How to Get Involved!
Get creative and express your national pride by sculpting landmarks, cultural icons, foods, patriotic symbols, and more.
Submit your creations to the official Play-Doh Facebook page wall between August 16th and September 14th.
Feel free to share as many sculpted works as you wish on the Play-Doh Facebook page and invite your friends and family to join in.
