With Mother’s Day just around the corner (can you really believe it’s almost MAY!?), I’ve been brainstorming ways for dads to help their kids whisk up a surprise for mom.

While classic handprint crafts, poems, or charming drawings are wonderful, my children often prefer to do something a bit more creative.

During my recent trip to the grocery store, I spotted Farm Rich cinnamon French toast sticks and thought… “What a fun and effortless idea for the kids to work with!” The key here is effortless since adding too many complexities would only add to the stress for Dad!

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare a delightful breakfast in bed for Mom:

• 6 sticks of Farm Rich cinnamon French toast
• Fresh fruit
• Syrup for dipping (though they’re also great alone!)
• Juice or coffee
• A flower to create an “O”

Ready to get started?

• Warm the French toast sticks according to the directions on the box.
• Take two sticks and cut them at an angle through the middle (similar to this [     /     ])
• Use the remaining four whole sticks as the sides of the letter “M”.
• Insert the two angled pieces between the M’s to form the vertical strokes.
• Place a flower between the two M’s to spell out “MOM”.
• Add your garnish to the tray.
• ENJOY!

And just like that, you’ve created an adorable, simple breakfast for Mom to enjoy in bed. If you’re in luck, she might even share a bite!
