It’s a universal challenge. Just when I think the kids will keep their new clothes sticker-free, they inevitably decide to add a sticker and forget to remove it before tossing their clothes into the laundry. I opted for WD-40.

Spray a bit of WD-40 onto a cloth and gently rub the area with the residue in a circular motion.

The residue began to clump and I was able to easily remove it with my fingernail. Although the sticker was gone, I was concerned about potential grease stains.

Many years ago, I discovered a trick for dealing with grease, oil, and fabric softener stains using original Dawn dish soap, which is quite affordable at around $1 at Wal-Mart. I applied a small amount directly onto the stained area and used a soft-bristled brush to work it in.

After washing as usual, the shirt came out looking as good as new!
